We need to ensure responsible community planning that allows our City to grow while respecting the integrity of existing communities and continue to offer a diverse range of housing options for all residents.
It is vital that we maximize the effectiveness of existing roadways, expand and connect current and new corridors in order to benefit all motorists, cyclists, transit users and pedestrians.
Vaughan needs to continue to attract new businesses in all sectors to maintain a strong industrial/commercial tax base that reduces the burden to our residents while continuing to offer unparalleled services.
Linda is committed to ensuring the safety of our communities by making sure Police, Fire and EMS services are fully funded and keep pace with development. In January 2020, the City opened Fire Station 7-4 (Kleinburg/Nashville) and is in the process of building Fire Station 7-12 (Vellore).
A large part of Linda's role as Local & Regional Councillor, is engaging with all groups in our community at picnics, holiday festivities, parades etc. Linda truly believes that it is the diversity of our residents that makes a healthy and vibrant community. She will continue to ensure the inclusivity of all residents of our City.
Linda is a strong advocate for Vaughan's charitable organizations both large and small, and is proud to support their efforts in a variety of different ways. The City of Vaughan is fortunate to have a strong philanthropic community and Linda will continue to foster and expand their much needed work.
Over the coming weeks we will be updating Linda's platform with further details. Check back soon for more on how Linda plans to continue working for you!
